TOWELS
To keep towels clean, soft and bacteria-free, wash them every four or five uses. Clean them separately in hot water, and add a half cup of baking soda to the wash.
MACHINE SMELL
Washing machines can get stinky. Once a month, run your front load washer on a hot rinse cycle with two cups of vinegar. This will help deodorize the washing machine.
COFFEE OR TEA
Pre-treat coffee or tea stains with a little bit of white vinegar before washing. After the wash, check to see if the stain has disappeared before putting in the dryer.
SALT STAINS
For extra stubborn salt stains, brush the garment with a soft brush, then mix two tablespoons of vinegar with 500 mills of warm water. Then blot the area with a sponge and air dry.
